Funny enough the rocks that inspired Fold were from a place in Scotland on the Isle of Luing, a place that was known for its Slate mining until it came across seams that had ‘fools gold’ within. This fools gold corrodes and dissolves in rainwater leaving holes in the slate - no good for roofs!!! So the industry there died out. Amazing place, shimmers with gold dust, especially in the setting sun.
