This painting, The Night’s Magic, was inspired by a journey through Scotland, where I witnessed a sunset unlike the traditional dramatic display. Instead, it unfolded with tenderness—salmon-pink tones and soft dove-blue skies drifting across the view toward Mull. I wanted to capture that subtle beauty in the sculpted, palette-knifed clouds and layered formations of color.

The title is also a nod to the music of Van Morrison, whose songs often accompany my painting process—an homage to the lyrical magic that resonates with both memory and atmosphere.
