Introducing Caldwell Snyder Gallery in Montecito
We are delighted to announce our new gallery location in the heart of Montecito on Coast Village Road. Located across the street from The Honor Bar, the monumental Brad Howe steel sculpture will lead the way. We are open Monday through Saturday (10 – 6) and Sunday (11 – 5). We’re thrilled to become part of the Montecito community — please stop by and say hello.
Established in 1983 in San Francisco, Caldwell Snyder Gallery has since expanded to three locations: Sutter Street in San Francisco’s renowned Union Square district, downtown St. Helena, Napa Valley, in the turn-of-the-century Star Building, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and Montecito, and intimate location in the heart of Santa Barbara, for a combined exhibition space of over 12,000 feet.
Since its founding, Caldwell Snyder Gallery has created a diverse program of over 50 internationally acclaimed artists. After mounting over 500 exhibitions in Cologne, New York, Hong Kong, Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Singapore and Tokyo, the combined expertise of our professional art consultants have developed a long history of meaningful and inspired collections, exhibitions, and lectures.
Going into its fourth decade, the gallery will continue its dynamic program, remaining agile in response to new art and ways of communicating with the public, while maintaining the strong identity and aesthetic base that has marked its success for close to forty years. “Art audiences today are inundated with imagery,” Caldwell says. “Collectors have seen a million landscapes, abstract works, and figures. The challenge is to be a distinctive and meaningful voice.”
